Today Isabelle had her one and only cheer competition. But trust me, it was a VERY big deal. The squad has been practicing since November. And these past two months they added extra practices both before school and on Saturdays. It was insane. Then last night they had their banquet which was followed by 2 hours of "hair fixing." The squad and a few moms (me included) all went to one girls house where we pulled and brushed and sprayed and geled and curled and geled some more. The girls then all went home to sleep with high, tight pony tails that had been rolled in perm rods. Poor Isabelle, her hair definately took the most curlers. I don't know how she slept, but she did.
All their hard work paid off though. The girls did an amazing job. . . and their hair looked fabulous too! And as I sat in the stands watching my little love bug perform I started to tear up. I couldn't have been prouder. Heritage (Isabelle's school) took second place, and they were so excited. So Isaac put together a video of her performance. We unfortunately had to shoot through a glass pane but it's still pretty good. Go HMS!!!!!
